This is a letter I wrote to Dan. Obviously, we knew he wouldn't live until he was 97 but, it was something we held on to. I love writing and receiving letters, they are one of my favourite things! So, if you have time, send a loved one a letter- I am SURE it will brighten their day.
How can alcohol change your perception? Make sure if you need help, ask for it! It is okay to admit that you need a little some times.
I was dwelling over all of the things I'd done or not done... and when I actually reflected on them it turned out they did all have a positive as well... It's hard. Life is hard, but it can be happy too.
The care Dan received in Weston Hospice was exceptional. The staff and team genuinely cared about his, and our, welfare. Unfortunately, this isn't the case with SOME hospices. Please please please do your research and visit before making any decisions, as I mentioned this is only my experience with Weston Hospice.
